I am the Africa Regional Coordinator for WiLAT for the years 2016-2018. I joined the CILT family as an Associate member of CILT, UK in the early eighties and became a Chartered Fellow in June 2010. I was elected the Chairperson for WiLAT Ghana in December 2013.
With a major in Economics, I have undertaken several specialist courses in Aviation, Tourism and Management. Positions held include Head of Corporate Planning and Commercial Departments – Ghana Airways; Director, Ministry of Tourism; CEO-Ghana Tourist Board; Managing Director-Ghana Airports Company Ltd. I Currently work in Aviation and Tourism Consulting.
I have received many awards for may work in the Industry including: 2010- Millennium Excellence Award for Tourism Promotion; 2012- Chartered Institute of Marketing-Ghana, Marketing Woman of the Year in; 2011-named the First of Five Inspirational Public Sector Leaders in Ghana by IMANI Centre for Policy and Education; 2011 West Africa Nobles Forum “Nobles International Award” for being an Eminent West African who upholds the virtues of Honesty, Integrity and Accountability; 2012 Emerging Airports Conference (Dubai) award “Woman in Aviation”.
I hope I can now use this experience, both at country and regional levels, to support the professional development of other Women in our Industry
